Melissa Walsh Albers is a 2002 graduate of the College of Arts and Sciences and is the first volleyball player in school history to join the Creighton Athletic Hall of Fame. She received numerous honors during her playing time, and was a three-time First Team All-Missouri Valley Conference pick, two-time All-MVC Tournament Team and a three-time member of the MVC’s Scholar-Athlete First Team. As a senior, she led the conference with 4.22 kills per set, the first Creighton volleyball player in history to lead the conference in any statistical category. In 2006, she was named to the conference’s All-Centennial Volleyball Team.
