Nearly a carbon copy of Friday night's victory over Kent State, Colorado State's only lead of the game was a 4-3 advantage in the opening minutes. And just as it did against KSU, the Bluejays shot their way ahead of the Rams (1-5). The Jays made their first three field goals, all three-pointers, to go ahead and never look back. Creighton drained seven of their first 10 three-pointers and built a 12-point lead, up 21-9 midway through the first half.
The Bluejays led 37-28 at halftime, shooting 57 percent from the field and 58.3 percent from three-point range (7-of-12). CU also had an 18-11 edge in rebounding in the opening frame.
