Crew Ends Fall Campaign with 75-10 Win over Drake

DES MOINES, Iowa - The Bluejay crew team won all but two of its races over Drake, as they cruised to a 75-10 victory, Saturday afternoon at Bird's Landing. The dual with Drake was the last race of the fall season for Creighton.
"I was very impressed with how we rowed today," said head coach Dan Chipps. "We've been training very, very hard since August and its great to see it pay dividends. The result today makes us that much more excited for our spring championship season to get underway," Chipps added.
The Jays were in command for much of the day, as they won all of its varsity races. The Jays biggest victory came in the women's novice b race, where they won by a 20 second margin.
Creighton will be off until its spring season begins in March. The first race of the season will be on March 13-14 in Oklahoma City at the Oklahoma Invite.
