Rowing Splits Events, Falls at Drake

DES MOINES, Iowa - The Creighton Rowing team wrapped up the fall season by splitting events at Drake taking the varsity four on Saturday, Nov. 8. The Bulldogs, however, won the event with a win in the varsity eight.
Harsh wind conditions shortened each race as the teams opted to compete in less than favorable conditions rather than cancel the event entirely.
"It was a fun race, but not what we trained for," said head coach Dan Chipps. "We are looking forward to seeing Drake again in the spring season when they come to Omaha on May 2."
The squad returns to competive racing in March as the Bluejays take their annual Spring Break Training trip to Texas from March 7-14.
