Rowing Defeats Drake In Saturday Matchup

OMAHA, Neb. - The Creighton Rowing team took three of four races to best Drake on Saturday, May 2 in a dual battle between the two squads.
Creighton on the Varsity-8 race by just under 20 seconds as the Bluejays boat finished in 7:19.67, while Drake posted a time of 7:36.65.
The Bluejays also won the second Varsity-8 race as well as the Varsity 4.
"I'm very proud of the team and I'm looking forward to the WCC Championships," said head coach Dan Chipps. "This was a 2000 meter race with heavy chop and crosswind in the last 1000 meters.)
The Bluejays close out the 2015 regular season on May 16 as Creighton participates in the West Coast Conference (WCC) Tournament Championships.
