Eversman Sixth as Women's Golf Places Fifth at Drake Bulldog Invitational

Sarah Eversman had her second top-10 finish of the fall
NORWALK, Iowa - Sarah Eversman tied for sixth place to lead the Creighton Women's Golf team to a tie for fifth place in the weather-shortened Drake Bulldog Invitational.

All 36 holes of the competition ended up being played on Monday after the third round of the competition was called off due to inclement weather on Tuesday.
The competition was hosted by Drake, and was held at Echo Valley Country Club. Echo Valley's course measures 6,103 yards and has a par of 72.
Eversman shot round scores of 79 and 78 to total her score to 157. Her score was just four strokes behind the tournament medalist Jessie Staed of Loyola. Staed's score of 153 (79-74) helped lead the Ramblers to a first-place finish. Loyola's team score was a total of 629. Creighton's team tied with Drake with a total score of 654, beating Nebraska-Omaha by 10 strokes.

Creighton's team was made of one senior, two juniors and two freshmen with Eversman being the senior and wrapping up with a score of 157.
Juniors Rachel Grenko and Caroline Lake both tied for 23rd with a score of 165. Grenko shot rounds of 80 and 85, while Lake scored an 83 and an 82. Finishing out the team were the two freshmen who tied for 31st place. Amelia Lee scored rounds of 86 and 83 netting a total of 169. While Margaret Hickey compiled rounds of 84 and 85, also totaling in a score of 169.
The meet was the final competition for the team this fall.
