Rowing Competes in Four Events at Jayhawk Jamboree

Lawrence, Kan. -- The Creighton Rowing squad competed in the Jayhawk Jamboree on Sunday, Oct. 21. The Bluejays participating in three events, while two other were cancelled.
The first Bluejay boat in the water for competition was the varsity 4, closing the race in 16:19.5 to earn an 11th place finish.
The second Creighton boat was the novice 8, this time Creighton's group finished with a time of 16:52.8 to nab a 7th place finish.
Weather shortened the race, causing the cancellation of the 2x/1x and novice four. the
The final race for Creighton, the varsity 8, featured two Bluejay boats. Creighton's top boat posted a time of 15:28.7 to place 14th, while the second boat finished with a time of 18:33.1 to place 17th place.
The Bluejays return to action on Nov. 3rd as Creighton closes out the fall schedule in a dual meet with Drake in Des Moines, Iowa.
