Women's Golf Finishes Ninth at Jackrabbit Invitational

BOULDER CITY, Nev. -- The Creighton women's golf team placed ninth at the Jackrabbit Invitational, which concluded on Tuesday in Boulder City, Nev.
South Dakota State claimed a 13-stroke victory in the 14-team tournament over Boston College, but BC's Madeline Jin took home medalist honors in the 80 player field by two strokes with a 1-over 217 total. Boulder Creek Golf Club hosted the event, which measured 6,322 yards and was a Par 72 layout.
Gabby Tremblay tied for 12th place with a +15 total of 231. She opened with a 79 before consecutive 76s to close her tournament.
Amelia Lee and Katie Wilson each tied for 37th place with a 242 total. Lee shot a final round 77 after starting with 83 and 82 on Monday, while Wilson fired consecutive 80s before wrapping up with an 82.
Margaret Hickey placed 46th with a 244 total, sandwiching rounds of 80 with an 84.
Katie Allen had circuits of 82, 87 and 80 to tie for 58th place.
Competing as an individual and not counting towards CU's team score was Claire Orcutt, who posted three straight rounds of 84 to tie for 61st place.
Creighton returns to the course on March 21-22 at the Red Rocks Invitational at Oakcreek Country Club in Sedona, Ariz.
