Two men's basketball and one volleyball publication honored
2021-22 CoSIDA Publications Contest Results
OMAHA, Neb. -- The Creighton Athletic Department earned three awards from the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) during the organization's annual publications & design contest.
The 2021-22 Creighton volleyball media guide was recognized with "First in the Nation" honors, while the men's basketball postseason media guide was deemed to have the "Best Cover". In addition, the men's basketball game notes earned "Second in the Nation" acclaim.
The media guide and postseason guide covers were designed by Assistant Director of Marketing - Multimedia & Design Joey Gardner, while Sports Information Director Rob Anderson served as editor for the game notes and volleyball media guide while also working on the interior pages of the postseason media guide. Gardner also designed the 2020-21 Creighton men's basketball guide recognized as best in the nation, the 2018 Creighton men's soccer media guide cover that was tabbed the best in the nation and the 2019 Creighton volleyball media guide cover that was deemed the nation's second-best,
There were 30 Division I colleges, universities and conference offices that were honored overall, but Creighton was the lone BIG EAST school to be honored in any category.
The 2021-22 awards give the Creighton Sports Information Office 27 awards and honors in the last 15 years for its excellence in publications, writing and overall service to the media, including at least one recognition each of the past seven years.
