Bluejay Rowing Closes Fall 2023 Season with 2-1 Win at Drake

Des Moines, Iowa -- Creighton Rowing closed out the Fall 2023 schedule with a 2-1 win at Drake on Saturday, November 4.
Competing in two dual regattas and two multi-team events in the fall, Creighton moved to 2-0 also posting a win over Kansas State earlier this season.
After dropping the first set of races (1v4), the Bluejays rallied to deliver four consecutive victories to claim the 1v8 and the 2v8.
Finally in the Novice races Creighton built on a strong fall campaign with improved results across the board.
"We had a great day is Des Moines today! We raced very well in all Boats! The varsity eights row really well and are looking forward to getting faster for a great spring season," said head coach Dan Chipps. "I was also impressed with our Novice boat the races really well and have improved in the eight weeks that they have rowed. We rowed a Novice 4 as our varsity four and they did awesome winning the second race against a seasoned Drake boat. We had a great fall season and are going to use the gains we had with technique, endurance and attitude and get reason for our championship season in the spring!"
Creighton returns to action in the spring of 2024 with the Spring Training Trip to Texas from March 2-8.
