Jensen made 72 three-pointers this season and 302 in her career
SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Creighton guard Lauren Jensen has been selected to the Celsius Women's 3-Point Championship roster for the 36th annual State Farm College Slam Dunk & 3-Point Championships on Thursday, April 3. Jensen is one of eight players that will participate in the women's 3-point competition, which will air live on ESPN at 6 p.m. Central from Frost Bank Center in San Antonio, Texas.
Jensen is a 5-10 shooting guard from Lakeville, Minnesota, who has started all 33 of her appearances this season. She led the Bluejays with 16.0 points per game, shooting 37.7 percent from long range and 44.5 percent from the field during the 2024-25 season. Lauren delivered 302 three-pointers during her five seasons, including 296 over her four-year career at Creighton. Jensen closed her Bluejay tenure third in scoring at Creighton with 2,059 points, including the game winning trey at Iowa in the 2022 NCAA Tournament. That shot helped spur the Bluejays to an Elite Eight run in 2022.
Jensen is the first Bluejay to compete in the three-point shootout since Creighton Hall of Famer Kathy Halligan won the women's three-point contest in 1992, as she made 21-of-25 three-pointers, including her last shot at all five stations (worth two points), to score 26 points in the final. Current Creighton assistant coach Jaylyn Agnew was invited to participate in the 2020 three-point shootout but the event was canceled due to the Covid outbreak.
Tickets for this year's event, which start at $20, are on sale now and can be purchased by visiting www.collegeslam.com.
The night features the King's Hawaiian Slam Dunk Championship, the E*TRADE Men's 3-Point Championship, the Celsius Women's 3-Point Championship and the Dave's Hot Chicken Hot Shot Challenge.
