CAYCE, S.C. – The Creighton men's tennis team saw its season come to an end in the BIG EAST Championship match as the second-seeded Bluejays fell to the eight-time BIG EAST Champions and top-seeded St. John's, 4-0, at the BIG EAST Championships Presented by JEEP on Sunday morning.
Creighton finishes its historic season with an 16-11 overall record, capping off the year with its first appearance in the BIG EAST Tournament finals and matching its most wins in a single season since 1992-93.
"First of all, we want to wish everyone a Happy Easter. It was our privilege to compete for Bluejay Nation today," said head coach Gerhard Posch. "I couldn't be prouder of our effort on the court this week. We came up just short today, but we'll be sure to keep improving for more championship matches in the future. Thank you to Bluejay Nation for all your support and patience this season. Go Jays."

The Johnnies Max Amling and Armando Sotelo teamed up for a 6-2 win on the No. 1 doubles courts, while Carl Gustavson and Danilo Raicevic clinched the doubles point with a 6-3 victory on the No. 2 doubles court.
