Heider Foundation and Women's Basketball to Present $5,000 to No More Empty Pots

Omaha, Neb. -- On Thursday, May 1st at 2:30 pm Creighton women's basketball head coach and senior Lauren Jensen will be on hand to present a $5,000 check to representatives of No More Empty Pots. The money raised was made possible by the Heider Foundation, pledging $50 per made three-pointer during Bluejay Women's Basketball home games this season up to $5,000.
The Bluejay team closed the season with 128 made three- pointers in the 12 games played at D.J. Sokol Arena (11) and the CHI Health Center Omaha (1). Creighton reached the maximum threshold for the donation with more than three games remaining on the home schedule.
The event will be held at the No More Empty Pots Greenhouse, located at 2120 N. 30th Street with short speeches being given by Jensen as well as Talia McGill, President/CEO of No More Empty Pots. Â
