
Five Women's Golfers Named as WGCA All-American Scholars

Bluejays now with 52 honorees since 2014
CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. -- Creighton University had five women who were among the 1,499 collegiate golfers recognized by the Women's Golf Coaches Association as All-American Scholars. The Bluejay honorees include freshmen Julia Karmazin and Kinsley Smith as well as sophomores Annie Dawson, Katharine Marshall and Karsen Morrison.
Dawson and Marshall were honored were also recognized a year ago after their freshman campaigns.
Creighton's five honorees were tied for the second-most in the BIG EAST, trailing only Xavier's seven. This is the sixth straight season that Creighton's had at least five players recognized.
The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics. The minimum cumulative GPA is 3.50, and the student-athlete must be an amateur, have played in 50% of the college's regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the year nominated through the team's conference championship.
The Bluejays are coached by Debbie Conry, and matched their best finish ever by finishing third at the BIG EAST Championships in mid-April. The women in the golf program own a cumulative GPA of 3.68, including a team GPA of 3.71 in the Spring 2025 semester.
