Bluejays open regular-season vs. Penn State
OMAHA, Neb. -- The No. 12 Creighton Volleyball team closed its exhibition season on Saturday afternoon against Colorado State. In a match predetermined to go five sets, Creighton won the first three sets (25-13, 25-19, 25-18) before Colorado State took the final two sets (25-15, 17-15).
Highlighting Creighton's afternoon was a 13-0 run in the first set and 12 service aces on the afternoon.
The Bluejays had 13 different players start at least one set, 13 players notch a dig and 10 women put down a kill.
Creighton opens the regular-season on Saturday against No. 2 Penn State in Lincoln, Neb., as part of the AVCA First Serve. The match will be nationally-televised on FS1.
