
Volleyball Remains 18th in Poll Ahead of Match vs. #1 Nebraska

Bluejays host #1 Nebraska on Tuesday
The Bluejays are off to a 5-4 start after sweeping the preseason favorites from the American Conference (Rice) and Missouri Valley Conference (Northern Iowa) the last two days. All four losses have come to teams currently in the Top 25 (No. 13Â Penn State, No. 2Â Texas, No. 3Â Louisville and No. 19 USC).
The Bluejays are one of 13 schools (along with Baylor, Florida, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, Louisville, Nebraska, Penn State, Pitt, Purdue, Stanford, Texas and Wisconsin) to have been ranked each of the last 66 polls. The streak began on Sept. 6, 2021 and is a program-record.
Creighton has been ranked in all but six of the past 135Â times the AVCA has put out a Top 25 poll and 143 times in program history, which ranks 39th-most all-time. Creighton is 238-52 all-time when playing as a ranked team in the AVCA poll.
Including 2025, Creighton has spent at least one week in the Top 25 each of the last 14 seasons. CU's all-time best ranking in program history is No. 5, which came four straight weeks last November (Nov. 4, Nov. 11, Nov. 18, Nov. 25, 2024).
Nebraska remained in the top spot after an 8-0 start that includes four Top 25 wins and is ahead of Texas,Louisville, Stanford and Pittsburgh.
Tuesday's start against top-ranked Nebraska is set for 6:30 p.m. A capacity crowd of more than 17,000 fans is expected, and fans are advised to arrive early due to construction surrounding the arena.
