Jays Fans Have New Way to Shop and Earn Rewards
Creighton Athletics today announced a partnership with Homecrowd, a fan commerce platform that turns the purchases fans already make into support for the athletic department.
Integrated directly into the Creighton Bluejays app, the partnership gives Jays fans a way to back the program with the spending already in their week. Fans link a payment card one time. When they shop and dine at participating businesses, those businesses send a share of the purchase back to Creighton Athletics. Fans can get started by opening the Creighton Bluejays app, selecting Creighton Homecrowd, and securely linking their credit and debit cards or by visiting Creightonhomecrowd.com and enrolling. Once enrolled, fans shop as they normally would at participating local and national businesses, and eligible purchases register automatically.
How it Works for Fans
Purchases count three ways. Participating local businesses register automatically once a card is linked. Online retailers count once a fan installs the Homecrowd browser add-on. And a set of national brands can be shopped directly inside the platform.
Fan activity also builds toward Creighton tickets, gear and experiences, which will be announced through the GoCreighton app throughout the year.
Supporting the Jays Through Everyday Spending
Eligible purchases at participating businesses generate support for the department at no additional cost to the fan. The support is funded by the participating business, which creates a connection between Jays fans, local and national businesses, and Creighton Athletics.
For participating businesses, the platform provides a new way to reach the Creighton fan base while supporting Creighton Athletics. The program will feature local and national businesses, allowing fans to participate nationwide.
About Homecrowd
Homecrowd is a passive fan commerce platform. It routes a share of everyday consumer spending back to college athletic departments, funded by merchant commissions. Fans link a card once and support their program from anywhere, just by living their life. Homecrowd operates inside school programs at partner athletic departments across the country.
