Women's Golf Finishes 11th at Rio Verde Collegiate

RIO VERDE, Ariz. -- Freshman Madison Murnan and senior Morgan Becker led the Creighton women's golf team to an 11th place finish on Sunday at the Rio Grande Collegiate.
The Bluejays compiled rounds of 305, 301 and 304 for a 910 aggregate, the team's third-best 54-hole score of the 2025-26 season.
Murnan and Becker both opened with a 78 in Friday's first round. Murnan followed with scores of 74 and 76, and Becker with loops of 76 then 74 as both women finished with a 228 total to tie for 30th place.
Sophomore Julia Karmazin tied for 39th place after rounds of 79, 73 and 77 for a 229 total. Her second round 73 was CU's best of the weekend.
Tying for 58th place were juniors Katharine Marshall (75-78-81=234) and Karsen Morrison (74-83-77=234). Morrison's 74 tied the North Platte native's best round of the season.
Bradley (300-291-294=885) won the team title by four strokes over defending BIG EAST champion Xavier (292-293-304=889). The BIG EAST's Butler was 18th in the event after scores of 315-312-312=939. Xavier's Isabel Brozena (69-72-74=215)Â won medalist honors by one shot over Bradley's Caroline McConnell (76-72-68=216).
The tournament field consisted of 19 teams and 95 competitors who battled the Rio Verde CC course that measured 6,056 yards on its Par 72 layout.
Creighton is back on the course March 8-10 at the MSU Southern California Invitational in Camarillo, Calif.
