Traudt & Davis Named Academic All-District by CSC

OMAHA, Neb. -- Creighton had a pair of men's basketball student-athletes honored by College Sports Communicators with a pair of Academic All-District selections as Ty Davis and Isaac Traudt were recognized by the organization earlier this week. It's just the second time since 2003-04 that the Bluejays have had a men's basketball duo honored with Academic All-District acclaim.
Traudt is averaging 6.7 points and 2.4 rebounds per game while appearing in all 32 games this season, including 21 starts. He is shooting 83.3 percent at the free throw line and a team-leading 38.9 percent from three-point range. The Grand Island, Neb., product, is a Financial Planning major. He is a member of the Creighton Dean's List and the BIG EAST's All-Academic Team. Traudt was also recognized last season with Academic All-District plaudits.
A sophomore from Mountain Brook, Ala., Davis owns 51 rebounds, 41 points and 35 assists this season. He's appeared in 31 games, including 12 starts, and shooting 78.9 percent at the line. Davis is a Finance major and was a 2024-25 selection to the BIG EAST's All-Academic Team. Davis has also been named to the Creighton University Dean's List in each of his first two years on campus.
To be nominated for College Sports Communicators Academic All-District consideration, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) at his/her current as well as past institutions, if warranted. Nominated athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically and have participated in at least 90 percent of the team's games or started at least 66 percent of the institution's games. Student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists are denoted with an asterisk and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced April 14, 2026.
Creighton Men's Basketball's last Academic All-American was Steven Ashworth, a First Team honoree in 2024-25.
The Bluejays are continuing preparations for a 10th consecutive postseason appearance, meeting Rutgers on April 2nd in Las Vegas, Nev., as part of the College Basketball Crown.
