Jessica January Joins Women's Basketball Staff

Omaha, Neb. -- Creighton Women's Basketball head coach Jim Flanery announced the hiring of Jessica January as an Assistant Coach in mid-May.
January comes to Creighton after spending the 2025-26 season as an assistant coach for her alma matter, DePaul. She also coached at the high school level for both boys and girls team in Minnesota.
She played four seasons at DePaul, from 2013-14 to 2016-17, earning BIG EAST All-Freshman Team honors (2013-14), All-BIG EAST Second Team (2015-16) and was selected to the BIG EAST All-Tournament Team (2017).
"Jessica brings a variety of things to our staff. She played at a high level, both at DePaul and overseas, she knows the game, and she will be ready to help our players navigate their challenges and build on their strengths," said Flanery. "She's a quick learner, which will help make the transition to coaching at Creighton seemless.
January fills the opening created when Jordann Reese departed Creighton for Michigan last fall.
