Senior led CU in scoring average.
OMAHA, Neb. -- Creighton golf standout Morgan Becker has been named All-BIG EAST, the conference announced on Friday, May 8. The selections were made by the league's head coaches, who were not permitted to vote for their own players.
A senior from Fort Worth, Texas, Becker led Creighton with a 75.78 scoring average in 2025-26 that ranks as the third-best figure at CU in the last 25 seasons. Her four rounds of par or better are tied for the fourth-most in CU single-season history, and her career scoring average of 76.81 ranks third-best at CU in the past 25 years.
Becker shared BIG EAST Golfer of the Week honors on March 26th after shooting a 1-over 214 over three rounds at the Bell Bank "Pay It Forward" Collegiate. That 214 was one shot away from CU's best 54-hole score in the past 25 seasons.
Becker had CU's best 54-hole score in five of the nine tournaments she competed in, and she finished in the top 30 in eight out of nine events. She shot a season-low 69 in the first round of the Bell Bank "Pay It Forward" Collegiate on March 23rd, and also had CU's lowest round of the BIG EAST Championships when she fired a second round 70 on April 26th.
Becker joins an elite list in program history, as previously CU's only All-BIG EAST women's golfers had been Katherine Lemke (2021-22 and 2022-23) and Eleanor Hudepohl (2022-23).
Xavier swept the major awards, as senior Madison Reemsnyder was named Player of the Year, while newcomer Ashley Kirkland was named Freshman of the Year. Xavier head coach Stephanie Young and her staff were honored as BIG EAST Coaching Staff of the Year. The seven-member All-BIG EAST Team included four repeat selections from a season ago.
