Women's Golf Trio Recognized by WGCA as All-American Scholars

Bluejays now with 55 honorees since 2014
CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. -- Creighton University had three women who were among the 1,551 collegiate golfers recognized by the Women's Golf Coaches Association with a spot on the All-American Scholar Team. The Bluejay honorees include rising junior Julia Karmazin in addition to rising seniors Katharine Marshall and Karsen Morrison.
This is Marshall's third straight recognition, while both Morrison and Karamazin were also honored last season.
It is the seventh straight season that Creighton's had at least three golfers recognized, and 13th in a row with multiple women acknowledged.
The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics. The minimum cumulative GPA is 3.50, and the student-athlete must be an amateur, have played in 50% of the college's regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the year nominated through the team's conference championship.
The Bluejays are coached by Debbie Conry. The golf program owns a cumulative GPA of 3.658 GPA, tops of any women's team at Creighton, and had three individuals post a perfect 4.00 GPA this spring.
