Juarez Named BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week

Omaha, Neb. --Â #14 Creighton Men's Soccer transfer Allan Juarez collected his first conference accolade as the California transfer was named the BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week on Monday, September 21. With BIG EAST play beginning, most teams played one contests during the week of September 14-20. Juarez led Creighton to a 1-0-0 start to conference competition with a 3-0 win over Providence on September 18, scoring the game-winning goal and assisting another.
Juarez gave the Bluejays a 1-0 edge in the 31st minute (30:02) by finishing a series of passes from freshman Carter Derksen and sophomore Ayden Kokoszka, then added an assist on Creighton's third goal in the 62nd minute (61:44) to setup junior Angel Lopez. The three point effort matched Juarez career-high, set in his Bluejay debut against Florida International on Aug. 20.
The Bluejays are back on the pitch on Tuesday, September 22 as Creighton faces off with Denver in a road match at 7:00 pm (CT) on ESPN+.
