Price Named Co-BIG EAST Golfer of the Week

OMAHA, Neb. -- Creighton senior Owen Price has been named Co-BIG EAST Golfer of the Week, the league office announced on Thursday.
This is Price's first weekly award from the BIG EAST, and he becomes CU's first honoree since Grant Feldman won it on both Sept. 10 and Sept. 17, 2025.
Price birdied the 16th and 17th holes to win the Bluejay Invitational by one shot on Tuesday afternoon at Shadow Ridge Country Club in Omaha, Neb. He topped the field of 45 entrants with a 6-under score of 210 following rounds of 70, 69 and 71 to finish as the only player in the field to shoot below par all three rounds.Â
A Tacoma, Wash., native, the victory was Price's first collegiate victory and third top-five finish. After birdies on 16 and 17, Price smashed his drive on the 18th hole to the middle of the fairway, then hit an approach shot that left him with a challenging 35-foot uphill putt. He lagged his first putt to two feet before tapping in for the victory.Â
He became Creighton's first medalist in a tournament since Feldman won the Bluejay Invitational last Sept. 15-16 with a 207 aggregate. Price tied for 13th in that event with a 2-under total of 214.
Price shares the award with Connecticut's Kai-Jun Huang.
