The 2017-18 season marks Dobrauc’s 16th year coaching the women’s rowing team. The Pittsburg, Kan., native began her rowing career in 1998 as a Bluejay, rowing all four years.
Dobrauc graduated from Creighton in May of 2002, receiving her Bachelor's degree in Psychology. She began coaching the Bluejays in the Fall of 2002. Since Dobrauc’s involvement with the team, numbers have grown from 10 members to upwards of 65 rowers. In the Fall season she is responsible for on-campus recruiting of novice rowers. She oversees the novice rowing program for their first Fall semester of rowing. Her primary coaching responsibilities then shift to primarily focusing on the first and second varsity eights for the Spring season.
Dobrauc is a member of U.S. Rowing and is a Level II certified coach. She is in charge of coordinating all alumni rowing events, communications, and community outreach efforts. In the Spring, she oversees Creighton’s 2K Rowing Challenge, the team’s annual community event and fundraiser.
She completed master’s degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Dobrauc works full time for CHI Health as their Disability Management Specialist, overseeing CHI Health’s return-to-work and absence management programs for both occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
