Bio
2024: Freshman at Creighton
• Backed up First Team All-American Kendra Wait at setter for Creighton’s 32-3 team that reached the Elite Eight.
• Played in seven matches and eight sets during her freshman campaign.
• Contributed four assists and two digs during the season.
• Made her collegiate debut on Sept. 27 vs. Providence, finishing with one assist in two sets played.
• Registered an assist and her first two career digs vs. UConn (Sept. 29).
Horizon High School
• Graduated high school early so she could enroll at Creighton in January of 2024.
• Was both a four-year academic and athletic letterwinner.
• Served as team captain as a senior, when she was a Second Team All-State selection in Class 5A.
• Tallied 616 assists, 202 digs and 154 kills during her senior campaign as she hit .373.
• As a junior, owned 317 assists, 253 kills, 184 digs, 57 aces and 40 blocks to earn team MVP, First Team All-North Metro Conference and Honorable Mention All-State recognition.
• Was named First Team Academic All-State and received the Difference Maker Award.
• Verbally committed to Creighton in August of 2022.

• Daughter of Cort and Treva Strain.
• Has siblings Parker, Camden and Lauren.
• Sisters Lauren (Wake Forest) and Camden (UC Colorado Springs) both played collegiate volleyball.
• A psychology major.
• Favorite class at Creighton is Dr. Finken’s Introductory Psychology.
• Sports hero is Serena Williams.
• Person she’d love to meet is The Rock.
• A few words to describe her hometown are suburb, boring and good weather.
• Hidden talent is juggling.
• Favorite book is The Tenant.
• Chose her uniform number because it was her sister’s number.
• Favorite food is watermelon.
• Dream vacation destinations would be Greece or Singapore.
• Three dream dinner guests would be Will Ferrell, Kevin Hart and SZA.
• Go-to pregame music artist is SZA.
• Best birthday gift she ever got was a phone.
• In 10 years would like to be doing occupational therapy and working with special needs kids.
