Brian Hanna joined the Creighton Athletic Development staff in December 2022 as the Assistant Director of Athletic Development. In March of 2025, Hanna was elevated to Associate Director of Athletic Development.

In his current role, Hanna is responsible for facilitating all stages of the donor engagement process, tasked with bringing in new cash and philanthropic commitments supporting various strategic priorities. He also helped plan and execute philanthropic and alumni events, collaborating with head coaches to develop fundraising efforts for their programs. Additionally, he assists in the sale of all premium seating efforts for the athletic department. Hanna serves on a team that secured the second highest giving total in CU Athletics history in his first year.

A Creighton graduate, Hanna served as a student manager for the men’s basketball program from 2018 to 2022, assisting in day-to-day operations.

Hanna is a native of Bellevue, Neb. and graduated Cum Laude from Creighton’s Heider College of Business with a double major in Marketing and Management. He is currently pursuing a master’s in business administration at Creighton.
