Entering his ninth year within the industry, Nick Bies came to Creighton after two seasons as the Oregon State athletic trainer for the men’s basketball team.
A graduate of Nebraska Wesleyan in 2017, Bies spent time with Oregon State (2022-24), Western Oregon (2021-22), as well as Eastern New Mexico (2017-19). He also worked in the private sector from 2019-21 with Mayo Clinic Orthopedics and Sports Medicine.
In addition to earning his undergraduate degree in athletic training at Nebraska Weselyan, Nick completed his masters in sports administration at Eastern New Mexico in 2019.
He holds certifications from the American Red Cross (CPR/AED), Advanced Rehab, NCSA CSCS, EXOS Absolute Speed and is a NATABOC Certified Athletic Trainer.
He and his fiance, Colleen, reside in Omaha.
