Brad Schmidt is in his 14th season at Creighton. Schmidt’s role was refined to volleyball, women’s basketball and baseball in the fall of 2014 and he was promoted to the head coach of athletic performance prior to the onset of the 2019-20 athletic year.
A graduate of Iowa State in 2008, Schmidt served as the assistant strength and conditioning coach at South Dakota State for two years before taking the same position at Creighton in January of 2012. During his time with the Jackrabbits, Brad earned his master’s at SDSU in 2010.
Schmidt has worked with a variety of teams, including swimming, track, cross country, soccer and basketball.
Schmidt is a certified strength and conditioning specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association, as well as a certified sports performance coach by USA Weight Lifting.
He and his wife, Vanessa, reside in Omaha with their five children.
