
Tennis Teams Suffer MVC Setbacks

OMAHA, Neb. -- The Creighton men's and women's tennis teams each suffered losses Saturday in Missouri Valley Conference action. The Bluejay men were defeated 7-0 by Indiana State in a match played at Hanscom Tennis Center in Omaha. The women were also defeated 7-0 by Indiana State, with the match taking place in Terre Haute, Ind.
The Sycamores dominated in both matches, as Creighton lost each of the seven singles and three doubles matches in men's and women's action. Indiana State came away with straight-set victories in each of the six men's and five women's singles matches that were played.
The Creighton women were forced to forfeit the No. 6 singles and No. 3 doubles matches.
The Bluejay men will be back in action Sunday morning, as they take on Southern Illinois at 10 a.m.
