GREELEY, Colo. - The Creighton Men's Tennis team started its three-dual swing in Colorado by sweeping through Colorado College in a 7-0 victory, Friday evening.
The win marked Creighton's sixth straight win after dropping their first two duals of the season.
The Bluejays (6-2) started the evening by taking the doubles point with a 3-for-3 showing. J.T. Christian and Billy Paluch posted an 8-3 victory over Nate Burt and Lionel Zen-Ruffinen at No. 1 doubles. James McAvoy and Ryan Norman followed by blanking Thomas Modern and Nathan Lee at No. 2, 8-0, and Kyle Obermeier and Gabe Nagy polished off the doubles with an 8-2 win over Will Lindsay and Zach White at No. 3.
With inclement weather bearing down on the Greeley area, the Jays and Tigers (4-7) played until the clinching point. That took little time as the Jays won the first three singles matches to earn the dual win.
Paluch topped Burt at No. 1, 6-1, 6-1, Nagy defeated Modern 6-2, 6-1 at No. 3 and Obermeier wrapped up the dual with a 6-2, 6-2 win over Lindsay at No. 4.
Creighton is scheduled to take on Northern Colorado tomorrow. Dual time is slated for 1:00 p.m.
