
Men's Tennis Swept by No. 48 Wichita State

WICHITA, Kan. – The Creighton men's tennis team was swept by No. 48 Wichita State 7-0 at the Sheldon Coleman Tennis Complex on Saturday afternoon.
Despite the loss, Creighton (11-3) has won seven of its last nine matches. Wichita State (14-4) took the doubles point and swept all six singles matches.
Freshman Alex Koca led the Bluejays with a tight match at No. 3 singles. Back in his home state of Kansas, he won the first set over WSU's Ilija Cuic by a count of 6-4. Cuic responded with a 6-2 decision in the second stanza. The Shocker then edged Koca 10-8 in a third set superbreaker.
Sophomore Jake Norman battled No. 54 Tin Ostojic to a pair of tight 6-4 sets at No. 1 singles.
Creighton is back in action on April 7 for Senior Day against Doane.
