Men's Tennis Suffers Road Loss at Nebraska

Bluejays to visit Nebraska-Omaha tomorrow at 5:00PM
LINCOLN, Neb. - In action for the first time in nearly a month, the Creighton men's tennis team suffered a 7-0, road setback to Big Ten opponent, Nebraska, on Saturday in Lincoln, Neb.
Brothers Dusty and Toby Boyer paired up to lead the charge for the Cornhuskers (5-3) in doubles play. The tandem, ranked 58th in the nation, recorded a 6-1 victory at No. 1 Doubles to improve to 7-0 on the spring.
Nebraska's No. 2 and No. 3 Doubles teams followed suit, allowing the Cornhuskers to enter singlese competition with a 1-0 match advantage.
The Cornhuskers carried that momentum into singles play where they clinched wins at all six positions.
Creighton's Quinn Dippel and Harrison Lang lost each of their sets by a single break at No. 1 and No. 3 Singles, respectively.
With the victory, Nebraska has won three of its last four matches.
Saturday's match was Creighton's first since Jan. 29 when the Bluejays suffered a tough, 5-2 loss to Illinois State.
The Bluejays will visit Nebraska-Omaha tomorrow at 5:00 p.m.
Sunday's match at Nebraska-Omaha will take place at the Miracle Hill Tennis Center in Omaha, located on 120th street just north of Miracle Hills Drive and south of Blondo Street. Play will begin at 5:00 p.m.
