Lamberty Heating Up at the Right Time
Sophomore Sydney Lamberty has struggled with her shot for much of the 2015-16 season, but the Minnesota native seems to be coming around at the perfect time for the Bluejays.
In Creighton's final weekend road trip to Seton Hall and St. John's, Lamberty was 8-for-12 from beyond the arc, including a perfect 4-for-4 from downtown in the second half against the Red Storm.
Bluejays Seeking a Little Vengeance
Entering the final day of the regular season, the best Creighton could have done was claim the No. 7 seed in the BIG EAST Tournament. The Bluejays did their part by upsetting St. John's and have earned a shot to avenge a 61-59 loss to Providence on Feb. 14.
Lucky No. 7
Creighton has been the seven seed once in its history, in 1999. That season the Bluejays advanced to the Missouri Valley Championship with back-to-back wins over Drake (73-62) and Indiana State (76-54).
The Bluejays fell in the final to Evansville (72-75 in overtime).
Creighton has never played four games in four days, a feat the Bluejays would need to accomplish to reach the BIG EAST Finals.
