Men's Tennis Downs John Carroll During First Match In Florida

Creighton picks up victory in first of four matches this week in Orlando
ORLANDO, Fla. -- The Creighton men's tennis team swept John Carroll 7-0 at the USTA National Campus in Orlando, Fla. on Monday afternoon.
The Bluejays improved to 4-6 in dual action this season, and John Carroll fell to 1-3.
Creighton picked up the doubles point with three 6-2 victories.
The Bluejays continued to control the match with wins at the No. 4, 5 and 6 position in singles play.
Jake Glazer won 6-3, 6-1 at No. 5 to clinch the overall dual with the fourth point of the afternoon.
The Jays won in straight-sets at each singles position, with the exception of No. 1.
Harrison Lang needed a deciding tiebreaker third set to pick up a victory at the top position. Lang fell 6-1 before tying the match with a 6-3 second-set win. The senior picked up a 10-8 decision in the final frame to complete the clean sweep.
"We will need to play very well tomorrow against a solid Coastal Carolina team," Lilly said.

"The winds were strong today, so that made our guys have to work harder," head coach Tom Lilly said. "Harrison played a strong second set and finished in style."
