The Bluejays wrapped up the weekend with six straight set victories over Omaha to complete a 7-0 sweep of the Mavericks. Martinez won 6-4, 6-1 at the No. 1 spot, while Negin picked up a 6-3, 6-3 win on court No. 2 and Shukla earned a 6-4, 6-2 win on court No. 3. "This tournament was a great chance to see our ladies in dual match situations," said head coach Tom Lilly. "I'm a lot more impressed with the team than I was following our first tournament. Too win the doubles point against three teams and also go 16-2 in singles against some good competition was impressive; especially considering that we could only use seven of our ten players this weekend."
Creighton will return to the courts on Oct. 13-16 when they travel to Stillwater, Okla. for the ITA Regional hosted by Oklahoma State.
