Women's Golf Ties For Seventh at Boston College Intercollegiate

Katie Allen tops the Bluejays by tying for 16th place
CANTON, Mass. -- The Creighton Women's Golf team tied for seventh place at the Boston College Intercollegiate, which wrapped up on Tuesday in Canton, Mass.
The Bluejays were led by Katie Allen's tie for 16th place after the senior shot rounds of 77, 78 and 75. Allen's 75 was tied for the seventh-best round of the final round in the field.
Gabby Tremblay improved each round to finish in a tie for 19th place. After an opening-round 79, the Hayward, Wis., product followed that up with loops of 77 and 76.
Reigning BIG EAST Golfer of the Week Katherine Lemke tied for 25th place following scores of 77, 78 and 78 for a 233 total.
Rounding out the Bluejay line-up were freshmen Annika Yturralde and Mia Gaboriau. Yturralde tied for 43rd place with circuits of 78, 80 and 82 while Gaboriau began with scores of 80 and 82 on Monday before a closing 90 to tie for 73rd place.
Competing as an individual but not factoring into CU's team score was Claire Orcutt in 85th place. The Mankato, Minn., native compiled rounds of 86, 88 and 85 for a 259 aggregate.
Tournament host Boston College overcame a seven stroke deficit on the final day to win the event with a three-round total of 901, two shots better than Elon. The field featured 16 teams and 90 players. Sacred Heart's Chantal El Chaib (69-71-77) earned a two shot victory over Elon's Annabelle Ackroyd (74-70-75) with a 3-over total of 217 on the Par 72 Blue Hill Country Club course that measured 6,137 yards.
Creighton plays its lone home tournament of the season next Monday and Tuesday (Oct. 3-4) when it hosts The Big O Classic at Oak Hills Country Club.
