Men's Soccer Earns 0-0 Draw at Tulsa

Tulsa, Okla. -- In a match moved up 90 minutes to avoid weather concerns, Creighton Men's Soccer earned a 0-0 road draw with Tulsa on Tuesday, September 19.
Tuesday's result pushed Creighton's record to 2-3-3 on the season, while Tulsa moved to 3-2-2.
Playing in rain through much of the match, both teams were sluggish in the first half. Creighton managed a pair of shots in the opening frame, while Tulsa had four.
The pace of play picked up in the second half, with each squad missing on dangerous opportunities in the box.
"It was tough conditions for both sides, but what great fight our team showed throughout, but specifically in the second half," said head coach Johnny Torres.
Sophomore goalkeeper Blake Gillingham delivered his first shutout as a Bluejay, collecting four saves including a pair of difficult and match-saving efforts.
Creighton closed the match with 10 shots and seven corners, while Tulsa had 14 shots and 10 corners.
The Bluejays return to the pitch and return to BIG EAST action on Saturday, September 23 at DePaul. The match is scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m.
