Feldman's Top 10 Finish Leads Men's Golf in Washington

UNIVERSITY PLACE, Wash. -- Grant Feldman had his fourth Top 10 finish of the season as the junior led the Creighton men's golf team to a 12th place finish at the SeattleU Redhawk Invitational on Tuesday afternoon in University Place, Wash.
Feldman tied for ninth place following rounds of 72, 73 and 70 for a 215 aggregate. He's now finished in the top 10 in three of his last four tournaments and seven times in his career. Feldman now owns 28 career rounds of par or better among his 69 loops at the collegiate level.
Sophomore Owen Price opened play with a 75 before back-to-back 72s to tie for 25th place with a 219 total.
Freshmen Henry Kuehne (76-76-76=228) and Jacob Kutner (74-74-82=230) were next up for CU. Kuehne tied for 71st, while Kutner tied for 82nd place.
Gavin Gerch tied for 95th place after circuits of 78, 80 and 77 for a 235.
Brock Kuhlman tied for 86th following rounds of 78, 78 and 76 while competing as an individual, which means his performance did not factor into CU's team score.
St. Thomas (284-293-279=856) and UC Riverside (292-288-276=856) tied for first in the 18-team field, with Creighton (297-295-295=887) ending up 12th.
Matt Armstrong (69-71-66=206) earned a two-shot win over runner-up Vaughn McMeans (70-69-69=208) for medalist honors. The tournament featured 100 competitors who challenged Chambers Bay Golf Course. The course was a Par 71 layout that measured 7,028 yards for Monday's first two rounds, and a Par 72 course that was 7,143 yards on Tuesday.
CU returns to the links on April 18-19 when it plays in the Robert Kepler Invitational in Columbus, Ohio.
