
Cross Country Announces 2025 Schedule

Bluejays will host BIG EAST Championships for first time
OMAHA, Neb. -- The Creighton Cross Country program will host the BIG EAST Championships for the first time, highlighting a schedule that will keep the Bluejays close to home this fall.
Creighton will host a scrimmage against Bellevue on Aug. 29, as well as the Platte River Rumble "Gold" (Sept. 5) and Platte River Rumble "Collegiate" (Oct. 17) races in addition to the BIG EAST Cross Country Championships on Oct. 31 in Ashland, Neb., as Olsson Cross Country Course.
The 2025 BIG EAST Championships will be the first time since 2006 that the Creighton Cross Country program has hosted the conference meet, when CU hosted the Missouri Valley Conference Championships at Pioneers Park in Lincoln, Neb.
The Bluejays will also return to the Woody Green/Dirksen Cross Country Invitational on Sept. 20 in Lincoln as well as the Gans Creek Classic in Columbia, Mo., on Sept. 26.
New on the schedule is the SDSU Classic in Brookings, S.D., to which CU will send some runners to on October 3.
The postseason begins on Nov. 14 at the NCAA Regionals in Stillwater, Okla., with the NCAA Championships taking place in Columbia, Mo., on the same course that CU will preview at the Gans Creek Classic.
