#6 Men's Soccer Takes on #12 Akron on Sunday

Omaha, Neb. -- The sixth-ranked Creighton Men's Soccer team faces its first ranked matchup of the season as the Bluejays face #12 Akron on Sunday at 5:00 pm in Ohio.

Reed Remains on MAC Hermann Midseason Watch List
Senior defender Matthew Reed continues to shine during the 2026 season as the Delaware native earned a spot on the 2026 Hermann Trophy Midseason Watch List.
Reed entered the match against St. John's (Oct. 2) second in the NCAA with nine goals, despite playing a wing back role. Grabbing three tallies on penalty kicks, the Bluejay captain has scored six goals during the run of play and continues to guide Creighton's defensive back line.
United Soccer Coaches announced the 30 players on the 2026 midseason watch list was compiled by members of the Hermann Trophy Midseason Watch List Committee. A total of 15 players will be named 2026 Hermann Trophy semifinalists on December 4 at the conclusion of NCAA Division I All-American voting. From that list, head coaches will cast votes, and three players will be named finalists. The 2026 recipient will be announced January 8, 2027, in a ceremony at the historic Missouri Athletic Club in downtown St. Louis, Mo.
