Mason, Ohio -- Creighton Baseball opens postseason play against St. John's on Wednesday, May 20 at 1:30 pm (CT) in the first game of the BIG EAST Championship Tournament. The Bluejays will then face either Xavier or Connecticut on Thursday, May 21.

Milestone Watch
McHugh, North, Wachsmann and Capece Earn All-BIG EAST Honors
A quartet of Bluejays collected All-BIG EAST accolades on Tuesday, May 19 as the postseason all-conference awards were announced. Nate McHugh (DH), Ben North (SS) and Isaac Wachsmann each earned First Team honors, while Connor Capece (C) earned a Second Team nod from the BIG EAST coaches.
McHugh closed the regular season hitting .303 overall and .295 in BIG EAST contests, primarily serving as the Bluejays' t DH. The Colorado native finished tied for the team lead with 66 hits and drove in 41.Â
Bluejay shortstop and hitting leader, North also finished tied for the team lead with 66 hits on the season. The Minnesota native hit .332 throughout the season and .284 in 21 league games. Ben led Creighton with 13 doubles, hit 10 home runs and drove in 42.
In his first season with Creighton, Wachsmann led the team with 14 home runs and finished tied for the lead with 48 RBI. The Bluejay center fielder connected for 10 long balls in BIG EAST contests, hitting .285 on the season and .313 in conference.
Capece led Creighton with a .364 average in 21 BIG EAST contest, posting a .291 average in 53 games. Connor closed the regular season tied for the team lead with 48 RBI, serving as the Bluejays' primary catcher.Â
