Omaha, Neb. -- The 7th ranked Creighton Men's Soccer team puts its undefeated record on the line on Saturday, September 26 at Valley Fields at 6:00 pm.

Series History: Creighton leads Marquette, 12-9-2
The Bluejays and Golden Eagles will meet for the 24th time on Saturday, including 10 previous contests in Milwaukee. Creighton leads the overall series 12-9-2 and holds a slim 5-4-1 edge at Marquette. The Bluejays have won the last three meetings and have won nine of the 15 meetings since becoming BIG EAST foes. The Jays posted a 1-0 win last season in Morrison Stadium.
Scouting Marquette (6-2-1, 0-1-0 BIG EAST)
Marquette has flown through non-conference play, claiming seven results in eight contests. The Golden Eagles are playing regally at home with a 5-0-1 mark at Valley Fields.
A tough opening to BIG EAST action saw the Golden Eagles fall at then No. 9 Georgetown last week. Only to face No. 7 Creighton on Saturday and undefeated Xavier to follow.
The Golden Eagles are led by Tomiwa Adewumi, who is second in the nation with eight goals. Two others for Marquette enter the weekend with multiple goals, getting four from Joey Buchanan and Mads Konrad horgoien.
Cameron Simpson has had the goal on lock down, playing every minute this season for Marquette. Simpson has allowed 13 goals for a 1.44 GAA, but also has three shutouts.
Scouting #7 Creighton (8-0-2, 1-0-0 BIG EAST)
The Bluejays passed a tough test with a 1-0 road win at Denver on Tuesday, for their second road win of the season. Creighton continues to lead the NCAA in goals (1st - 32),Â
assists (1st - 38) and points (1st - 102).
Senior Matthew Reed leads Creighton with seven goals, to rank third in the NCAA. Sophomore Ayden Kokoszka is second on the squad with five goals, highlighted by the game-winning goal at Denver.
The goalkeeper role saw Matthew Hudson delivered back-to-back shutouts in his last two matches.
Kokoszka's Game-Winner in 68th Minute at Denver, Grabs SC Top-10 #3
Sophomore Ayden Kokoszka turned a free kick into a SportsCenter Top-10 moment on Tuesday, September 22. Kokoszka served in his fifth goal of the season in the 68th minute (67:34), beating Pioneer goalkeeper to the upper right corner from well over 30-yards out on a free kick from near the left sideline. The highlight reel moment was the game-winner for the Bluejays.
Morales Returns to the Pitch at Denver
Sidelined since since the opening minutes of Creighton's match with Santa Clara on September 7 by an ankle sprain, senior Edward Morales returned to the pitch for the Bluejays on September 22 in Denver. Morales played 37 minutes to provide another weapon for head coach Johnny Torres.
Creighton Scoring Has Been Surprisingly Consistent
After 10 matches the Bluejays have 32 goals, delivering 16 in the first half and 16 in the second half. With shots Creighton has taken 152 on the season with 73 in the opening frame and 79 in the second.
Bluejays Looking for to Continue Undefeated Streak
For the fourth time in school history, Creighton Men's Soccer has opened the season undefeated through at least 10 matches. The last time the Bluejays opened a season in such fashion was 2015. That season Creighton got off to a 15-0-0 start. The other two times Creighton started undefeated through 10 games were in 1993 and 1990
