2019-20 Dean’s List
2020-21: Senior at Creighton
• Started first two matches as a Bluejay at setter in CU’s 5-2 offense.
• Team was 9-1 when she had 15+ assists.
• Dished 15 helpers on Jan. 22 vs. Nebraska-Omaha, then provided 14 assists and her first Division I kill in win vs. Northern Iowa (Jan. 24).
• Finished with 14 assists and eight digs vs. South Dakota (Jan. 29).
• Delivered 21 assists, plus an ace, in win at South Dakota (Jan. 31).
• Collected first two career double-doubles vs. No. 25 Marquette, as she had 20 assists and 11 digs on Feb. 5 and 12 assists and 10 digs on Feb. 6.
• Served back-to-back aces to end 3-2 win vs. No. 25 Marquette (Feb. 5).
• Owned 23 assists, four digs, two aces and two kills vs. DePaul (March 6).
• Had 18 assists and two kills vs. Butler on March 12.
• Had two kills and 21 assists in 3-2 win vs. Xavier (March 27).
• Had 24 assists as well as seven digs and an ace in BIG EAST Tournament finals win vs. Marquette (April 3).
• Dished career-high 26 assists in NCAA Tournament debut vs. Morehead State (April 14), adding five digs.
Spring 2020: At Creighton
• Transferred to Creighton in the spring of 2020.
2019: Junior at Arizona
• Saw action in 36 sets across 16 matches.
• Accumulated four assists as Arizona’s backup setter behind Julia Patterson.
• Used primarily as a serving specialist, she authored her lone ace on the year at Washington (Oct. 20).
• Dug eight balls on the season.
• Was teammates with her older sister, Emi, who was also her teammate for a year at Iowa Western CC.
2017-18: At Iowa Western CC
• Played two seasons at Iowa Western CC in Council Bluffs, Iowa, where she played under former Bluejay standout Alicia (Runge) Williams.
• Named NJCAA All-American First Team as a sophomore, also bringing home both All-Region and Academic All-Region accolades.
• In 2018, averaged 11.41 assists, 1.96 digs, 0.38 aces, 0.45 kills and 0.34 blocks per set to help team go 38-4 and place third at NJCAA national tournament.
• Led the country as a sophomore with 11.41 assists per set while also ranking second in the nation with 1,563 assists.
• Also was eighth in the nation with 42 matches started and 20th with 52 service aces.
• As a freshman in 2017, averaged 11.17 assists, 2.10 digs, 0.36 aces, 0.29 kills and 0.28 blocks per set to earn All-Region acclaim.
• Led the nation with 1,564 total assists and 11.17 assists per set.
• Also ranked second in the country with 42 matches started and 24th with 50 service aces.
• Team finished the season with a 39-3 record and in seventh place at the national tournament in Hutchinson, Kansas.
Punahou High School
• Earned three letters in volleyball.
• Twice named team MVP, and was also team captain, Most Improved Player and All-State once each.
• Helped team to a third-place finish at state as a senior.
• Played club volleyball for Rainbows Volleyball Club, which won the Power League Championship.
• Punahou is also the former high school of president Barack Obama, ex-Creighton baseball player Michael Lam and former Bluejay volleyball player Melanie Feldman.

• Daughter of Ricky and Kalei Pua’a.
• Has siblings Emi, Keiki and Koa.
• Her sister Emi was her teammate at both Iowa Western Community College as well as Arizona.
• Is a communication major.
• Wears No. 15 because it was her high school number.
• Likes Japanese food.
• Hobby she enjoyed during the pandemic was reading.
• Favorite website is Netflix.
• Dream vacation destination is Greece.
• Three dream dinner guests would be Beyoncé, Tupac and Ronald Reagan.
• Gameday superstition is to take a nap.

• Favorite professor at Creighton is Amanda Holman.
• Best volleyball memory is playing in Hermosa.
• Chose Creighton because the volleyball program and the good education.

• Would like to be doing real estate investment 10 years from now.
• Life advice to others is that if it won’t matter in five years, don’t waste more than five minutes worrying about it.
