Started all 47 games, including the opening 27 at first base before starting the final 20 at third base ... Led team in RBIs (39), home runs (9) and slugging percentage (.548) ... Home-run total ranked third in the BIG EAST ... Hit by a team-high seven pitches ... Has been hit by the pitch 29 times during her Creighton career, which is tied for second all-time in program history (Michelle Graner, 34) ... Set a career-high with six RBIs, while going 2-for-2 with two home runs and two runs scored against Western Michigan (Feb. 20) ... Finished the Troy Classic (Feb. 19-21) 6-for-12 with three homers and 13 RBIs, including three home runs and 10 RBI during a doubleheader on Feb. 20 ... Finished second on the team with a .435 on-base percentage ... Tied for the team lead with 17 walks ... Hit by a team-high 10 pitches ... Committed only three errors in 337 total chances ... Ranked second in the BIG EAST with 321 putouts ... Went 5-for-7 with two RBIs, a double and a run scored in a doubleheader against Northern Colorado on Feb. 20 ... Made her first career pitching appearance in the second game of the doubleheader against the Bears ... Closed the Rebel Spring Games with a 3-for-3 performance with three RBI, three runs scored and her first home run of the season ... Hit first career grand slam for her first of three home runs in a doubleheader against South Dakota on April 8 ... Finished the double-dip 5-for-8 with three home runs and six RBIs ... Appeared in all 53 games with 52 starts at first base … Second on the team with seven doubles … Reached base in 11 consecutive contests (March 9-15) … That streak included a breakout game against Howard (March 14), going 3-for-4 including a home run and notched first career stolen base and run scored … Hit by a pitch in a team-high 12 contests … The dozen HBPs ranks No. 2 all-time for a single season at Creighton behind former teammate and current assistant coach Alexis Cantu (15) … Registered two multiple-hit games and a pair of multi-RBI contests … 2014 BIG EAST All-Academic Team.
Skutt Catholic High School
Accomplished utility player from Omaha Skutt who played primarily as an infielder during four-year career but also saw time in the circle … Started every game of her career while helping to lead the SkyHawks to a record of 104-20 over four seasons … Squad won the 2011 Nebraska Class B state high school softball championship under the direction of head coach Keith Engelkam ... Set two Class B state records with three home runs and nine RBI in a game ... The three homers also tied the state record for most home runs in a game across all classes … With a .480 career batting average, ranks No. 8 all-time in the state of Nebraska … Also holds numerous career records at Omaha Skutt including games played (124), hits (150), at-bats (319), runs scored (111), RBIs (126), home runs (18), doubles (46), extra-base hits (72) and walks (49). As a senior, hit .557 during the regular season with 39 hits including 12 home runs helping Skutt set a Class B state record with 29 homers in a season … Won all four of her decisions including a perfect game thrown on senior day resulting in a 0.34 ERA for 2012 … Selected to participate in the Nebraska Coaches All-Star Game … Earned All-Nebraska First Team honors for the second straight season from the Omaha World-Herald in 2012 after claiming second team honors as a sophomore … The paper also recognized Daro as a member of the Class B All-State First Team as well as the All-Omaha Area squad in each of her final three seasons … Claimed a Super State team honor as well as Class B All-State First Team from the Lincoln Journal Star for a second straight year … Won River Cities All-Conference honors and River Cities Academic All-Conference accolades in each of final three campaigns. … In off-season a member of the Nebraska Fury Gold and was a member of the Omaha Quakes summer softball squad for six seasons … Made honor roll each semester … A member of the National Honor Society, Daro was a Believers and Achievers Nominee and Youth Leadership Omaha nominee … Active member of her church, helping with numerous community service projects … Member of the Habitat for Humanity SkyHawk Chapter and Big Hawk Little Hawk.
