Lauren appeared in each of the Bluejays’ 35 contests last season, earning four starts .... She closed out the season with 289 points, finishing second on the squad with 56 treys .... Lauren came out of the gate with purpose in 2015-16, scoring 11 poins in the Bluejays’ 79-54 win over Wichita State. Two games later she delivered 13 against Drake on Nov. 24 ... In Allen Fieldhouse, Works tied a career-best with six rebounds on Dec. 2 ... Works delivered 16 points on 5-of-10 from the field against Seton Hall on Dec. 31 ... Pressed into the starting lineup against Providence on Jan. 17, Lauren shined with 19 points on 7-of-8 from the field. She also dished out four assists and knocked down five from long range ... Lauren set new career-highs with 11 field goals attempts and eight triples hoisted at Marquette on Jan. 24 ... Works caught fire against Marquette on Feb. 19 as she torched the Golden Eagles for 23 points on 7-of-9 from the field and 6-8 from long range in the Bluejays’ 83-81 victory.
2014-15 (Sophomore)
Works saw action in 28 games as a sophomore, closing the year with 112 points (4.0 ppg) ... Lauren scored nine points in the Bluejays’ 88-81 win at South Dakota State on Nov. 18 ... Works continued a habit she started as a freshman against the Jackrabbits, knocking down her third career trey as the shot clock expired .... Works dished out a season-high five assists in the win over Drake on Dec. 14 ... She tossed in eight points and grabbed five rebounds in 25 minutes at DePaul on Jan. 23 ... Works grabbed a career-high six rebounds and delivered a critical three-point play in the Bluejays’ 74-65 win over Xavier on Jan. 30 ... Lauren hit five-of-six from downtown, as she set a season-high with 15 points against Providence to help the Bluejays’ win 84-57 on Feb. 15 ... Lauren knocked down three of four treys, including a critical one down the stretch, in Creighton’s 71-62 win over Georgetown on Feb. 27 ... Works closed her
sophomore campaign with a season-high 27 minutes at South Dakota on March 19.
2013-14 (Freshman)
Works saw action in each of Creighton’s 34 contests, playing the most minutes of any freshman with 436 ... Lauren made her collegiate debut at Drake (11/8), collecting an assist ... Works knocked in her first bucket as a Bluejay in Creighton’s 63-52 win over Minnesota on Nov. 16 ... Lauren dropped in seven points with three field goals in the Bluejays’ 65-55 win over Houston on Nov. 23 ... Works set season-highs in minutes (26), free throws attempted (5), assists (3) and rebounds (3) at No. 18 Oklahoma on Dec. 1 ... Works drained four free throws in the final 30 seconds to seal the Bluejays’ 65-58 win over Villanova on Dec. 28 ... She finished the game with seven points ... Lauren nabbed five rebounds and dished out six assists, both season-highs, in the Bluejays’ 65-63 overtime win at Georgetown to open 2014 on Jan. 1 ... Works put up double-digits for the first time in her career, scoring 10 points in Creighton’s win over Georgetown on Feb. 5.
Lincoln Southwest High School
Works closed out her high school career by earning the Nebraska Coaches Association’s (NCA) Most Valuable Teammate honor in the NCA All-Star game in July ... Playing both the point and off-guard positions for Lincoln Southwest, Works was a four-year letterwinner for the Silverhawks ... Works scored a school record 1,314 points and holds the Silverhawk record for points in a game (32) ... Following her senior season, Works was named to the Super State Team by both the Omaha World-Herald and the Lincoln Journal Star ... Lauren hit 42.5 percent of her treys as a senior, also averaging 3.5 assists and three steals a game ... She averaged 16.9 points and 7.1 rebounds per game in 2012-13 ... Works was twice named to the Lincoln All-City squad (junior and senior seasons) and was a two-time All-Heartland Conference First Team selection ... In addition to her basketball prowess, Lauren was a Nebraska state champion in tennis, winning the No. 2 Doubles Tournament as a junior ...
