Summer 2026 (Mexico U20 National Team)
Jalen was called up to the Mexico U20 Women’s National Team and will participate in training camp for the Under-20 World Cup in late August-September in Poland.
2025 (Freshman at Creighton)
Chaney made an immediate impact for the Bluejays during her freshman campaign, despite only appearing in 13 matches due to injury ... Ranked second on the team with 11 points, delivering four goals and three assists in 413 total minutes of action ... Came off the bench to make her collegiate debut and recorded an assist in the season-opener at Oklahoma (Aug. 14) ... Collected the first brace of her career, scoring both the equalizer and the go-ahead goal in a 3-3 draw against No. 13 Arkansas (Sept. 5) ... Her two goal effort against the Razorbacks earned her BIG EAST Offensive and Freshman of the Week honors ... Missed the next four contests with an injury, before returning to the pitch on Oct. 1 against No. 22 Xavier ... Assisted on the go-ahead goal in the 38th minute of an eventual 3-3 draw at Providence (Oct. 11) ... Followed that performance by recording an assist and converting on a game-winning penalty kick in the Bluejays’ 2-1 win at DePaul (Oct. 18) ... Closed the season by earning BIG EAST Freshman of the Week honors after helping secure a spot in the BIG EAST Tournament with a goal in the Bluejays’ 3-0 victory over St. John’s in the regular season finale ... BIG EAST All-Academic Team honoree.
Spring 2025 (at Mississippi State)
Spent the spring semester at Mississippi State before transferring to Creighton.
Flower Mound High School
A graduate of Flower Mound High School in Texas, Chaney rated as a three-star recruit by TopDrawerSoccer ... Rated as one of Texas’ top attacking forwards, Chaney led her team in scoring during each campaign of her prep career, tallying 46 goals and 21 assists in 44 matches across three seasons ... Earned TASCO Second Team All-State honors, as well as two First Team All-District selections throughout her prep career ... Played club soccer for Sting Black ECNL in Dallas ... Named a Top 2025 Player at three ECNL National Showcases, while displaying her success in the Dallas International cup, winning once and collecting two runners-up finishes ... Off the pitch, Jalen served as a member of the National Honor Society and received the Presidential Award for Academics at Flower Mound High School.
