2019 (Senior at Creighton):
In her first season with the Bluejays, Lauren appeared in all 18 matches, making 16 starts during the 2019 campaign ... Harkes logged 1,177 minutes on the pitch, collecting a pair of assists and 19 shots ... She recorded her first point as a Bluejay with an assist in a 5-2 win over Eastern Michigan on Sept. 8.
2018 (Junior at Clemson):
Harkes appeared in 18 matches during 2018 at Clemson, collecting five matches and logging 727 minutes ... She picked up her first collegiate assist in the 2018 season opener at Oregon State (Aug. 17) ... Lauren served as one of the teams three captains.
2017 (Redshirt Sophomore at Clemson):
Returning to the pitch, Harkes was one of the Tigers’ captains ... She appeared in 15 matches, playing a combined 309 minutes.
2016 (Sophomore at Clemson):
Harkes used her redshirt option during 2016, as she suffered a torn ACL ... Despite the injury, Lauren shined in the classroom as a member of the ACC Academic Honor Roll as well as earning a spot on the Clemson’s President’s List for the fall 2016 and the spring 2017 Dean’s List.

The daughter of John and Cindi Harkes, Lauren was born in Fairfax, Virginia ... She has two siblings, Ian and Lily ... Soccer runs deep in the Harkes family as her father played at Virginia (1985-87) and was a member of the United States National Team from 1987-2000 ... Lauren’s mother, brother and sister also each played DI soccer with Cindi (mom) playing for Virginia, Ian (brother) for Wake Forest and Lily (sister) started her career at Elon in 2018 ... After graduating from Clemson last year, Lauren is working on her master’s in organizational leadership at Creighton.
