Dan Bailey work within the Creighton University Athletic Performance program along with Brad Schmidt, Scott Bankers and Dakota Tinney. Bailey is a graduate of the University of Nebraska and brings over 25 years experience coaching at the Division I level at the University of Tennessee, the University of Akron and Creighton University. Â
Bailey is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association, as well as a certified sports performance coach by USA Weightlifting.
“The Strength and Conditioning program at Creighton University is designed to help the athletes become strong and powerful,” Bailey said. The program combines Olympic lifts, strength training exercises, plyometrics, speed and agility development, flexibility, and cardiovascular regimes, specifically tailored to each athlete, the sport they participate in and to their individual experience and ability. Bailey says, “the goal of the program is to reduce the chance of injury and to help each athlete reach their full potential.”
Creighton athletes train in the Championship Center weight room which includes EliteForm technology, Plae flooring and PowerLift training equipment. The Athletic Performance Center also includes a nutrition and hydration station for athletes to refuel.
