
Women's Tennis Wins Seventh Straight, 6-1 Over Bradley

OMAHA, Neb. - The Creighton women's tennis team won its seventh straight match, defeating MVC foe Bradley 6-1, Saturday at the Koch Family Tennis Center. With the win the Bluejays are now 1-1 in Missouri Valley Conference play.
The two closest matches of the day came in the Nos. 5 and 6 slots, where Mary Pat McMullan and Sarah Cadwallader had to go to third set tiebreakers, to win their singles matches. McMullan defeated Erin Krubeck 5-7, 7-6, 10-5, while Cadwallader defeated Bradley's Kim Braun 4-6, 7-6, 11-9.
Cadwallader also won her doubles match as she teamed with sister Leesa to knock off the Braves' duo of Kelly Donohue and Jessica Buterbaugh 8-4.
Creighton will return to action on Friday, March 27 at 12:30 p.m. as it takes on UMKC in a home match. The site will be determined later in the week, depending on the weather.
